The book by Laura of 2 Cuori in Cammino

We met Marco and Laura of 2 Hearts on the Way over two and a half years ago. They introduced themselves as a “couple of forty-year-olds with a lot of energy and enthusiasm” who decided to quit their job to move to the Orobie Prealps and explore the world. And that’s exactly what they did. They were able to carry out many adventures in this way.

Here are some of the most important:

-from Bergamo to Santiago de Compostela, a journey of 2300 kilometers between Italy, France and Spain;

-the Greater Patagonian Trail, a trek not yet marked that connects Ushuaia in Argentina to Santiago de Chile through Patagonia and the Andes: the longest trekking trail in South America, over 4000 kilometers long;

-the Jordan Trail, a network of trails in Jordan that crosses 8 radically different regions, all very fascinating.

For some days Marco and Laura have started with their new project: “Santiago Coast to Coast” which we will talk about specifically in the coming weeks because we decided to support 2 Hearts on the Way during this beautiful adventure.

But before leaving Malaga they completed – or rather, Laura has completed – a feat of another kind: her first book: “Jordan Trail – beyond the desert”. During the adventure in Jordan Laura decided to keep a travel diary in which she described in detail all the remote and fascinating places that she was able to admire and took note of all the meetings held with the local population. He wanted to recount the “encounters that touch the heart for their simplicity and generosity”, he tried to convey “the invitation to a simple life in contact with nature” but above all he celebrated “an arid and desert landscape, but rich in interior colors, in a small corner of paradise “, also thanks to the photographic insert that enriches this book.

It is a unique book because it comes from the effort and the road traveled by Marco and Laura in the 680 kilometers of the Jordan Trail: an invitation to dream with this “forty-year-old couple” who faced a difficult journey with boots on, backpack on his shoulder and a good dose of self-irony.
